Options for Abuse Victims

Find someone you trust that is willing to help

If you have been assaulted or abused in any way, report the incident to your local police immediately and keep a copy of every report made

If you have been injured, seek immediate emergency medical care

Make a safety plan

If your safety is in jeopardy, seek safe, temporary housing through friends, family, or area emergency shelters or safe home networks

Seek an Order of Protection (Link to the Arizona Supreme Court's Domestic Violence Information Page)

Save all the evidence you can (such as a written journal, social security cards, birth certificates, school records, all legal documentation of the abuse, police reports, etc.)
